Boulder Mayor Aaron Brockett participated in a virtual film screening and discussion about guaranteed income, just ahead of the launch of Elevate Boulder, the city’s first guaranteed income pilot. Alexis Miles moderated the panel discussion, which featured Health & Human Services Deputy Director Elizabeth Crowe, Magali Botello of the Elevate Boulder Community Task Force, and recipients of guaranteed income from other cities.

Elevate Boulder will provide 200 low-income Boulder households with $500 per month in direct cash assistance for two years, no strings attached. The application is expected to launch in the coming months, and recipients will be selected at random by a lottery amongst qualified applicants.
