Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, the Madison Forward Fund Guaranteed Income Program, and Mayors & Counties for a Guaranteed Income hosted a highly anticipated premiere of the award-winning It's Basic documentary. Following the film, Gabe Doyle of the Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness moderated a roundtable discussion with recipients of the Madison Forward Fund, who talked about the impact of receiving monthly direct cash payments for a year. The Madison Forward Fund Program recipients received their final payment in August 2023. The event also included remarks from Alder Jael Currie and a performance from local artist and educator Rob DZ.
